The efforts of the Safe Streets Project Team would not be possible without the ongoing financial and in-kind support from many dedicated sponsors throughout South Carolina. In the initial phase of the campaign, Project Team member Bikelaw offered the start-up funds for the campaign, which were matched dollar-for-dollar by sponsors throughout the state. In 2012, the Project Team received a grant from the South Carolina Departments of Public Safety and Transportation to help expand the Safe Streets message and to spread awareness about South Carolina laws relating to bicycling. These funds will be used to further raise awareness and public knowledge about bicycling and South Carolina law.
